Woloshen crafts a cascade of visuals in the manner of Stan Brakhage: scratches on the celluloid, sprocket holes, fleeting geometric shapes are glimpsed for a split-second before being snatched away. Intermingled are flashes of heavily erased faces and places, occasionally bursting through into visibility. Cinema is the sum of this endless struggle. – Adrian Martin
